Sep 09, 2011 · Interestingly progesterone levels are very low when breast feeding (the fall in progesterone levels following delivery is one of the triggers for milk production), so breastfeeding doesn’t seem to be a reason for PUPPP to occur (or continue) in the postpartum period.
