Hello, Is there anyone taking Clexane or similar and having a c-section? I wanted to ask when you stop taking the injections before the op? I was told to stop the night before (ie: about 12 hours before the op). It seems a really short time and wanted to ask another opinion.

You are at high risk of clotting until 6 weeks after delivery, so you shouldn't stop the clexane until at least then. It is usual to stop the clexane for 12 - 24 hours when labour starts, but for those at very high risk heparin can be given as an IV infusion and the amount can be controlled/reduced.

It would be very unsusual to stop clexane at 12 weeks, the risk to you and your baby continues throughout the pregnancy. In my last pregnancy i was on clexane from BFP (big fat positive (pregnancy test)) until labour started, aspirin from pre conception to 37 weeks.
