I've ran Prime95 to stress-test my new box. It runs for an hour or two and then it just crashes. The system doesn't crash, just the program. I've ran it …

To confirm, in the original post the errors/crashes were happening with different software, not just Prime95. We're mainly using prime95 for testing and diagnosing. Yes, computer crashed at Cinebench R20 "RUN" click instantly too and also at few others.

All games crash do not crash; FEAR don't, UT3 and Tomb Raider Legend do. Ram is running at ~105x MHz. I will try other two prime95 modes, each one over one night. I did some quick memory testing but not with memtest. I will try that after prime95 tests. Problem with games is that it can take them from few minutes to few hours to crash.

Posted November 20, 2014. Usually I would recommend a minimum of 24 hours of Prime95, before I declare anything stable. Most people say this is too long, but to me an unstable system is unstable, no matter what. Nova doctrina terribilis sit perdere.

After 12 hours of memtest (~5 passes) there was no errors. At 1.25V operating voltage with highest LLC and offset adjusted, the temps were quite high. Stopped after 7 hours of Prime95. So the offset was set to -0.40V and LLC on high so that the operating voltage was 1.218V. Passed Prime95 after 24 hours with no crashing or BSOD.
