Might've been a problem with the test itself. I haven't used my pc for anything yet. I've done Prime95 for 24 hrs on 3 other pcs 2 Intel and 1 3400g. Never seen a failure. This test has ran for about 6 hrs. Baby Beast: B450m Mortar // 3700x // T Force Vulcan 16gb // …

This is on a non-overclocked P4 machine. Prime 95 ran for 1 hour 6 minutes and came up with: Fatal error, rounding was .5 expected less than .4. I ran it with large FFT. The machine will hard lock sometimes; crash and/or crash with tons of screen corruption.

Prime95 Fail - Should I worry? | OCAU Forums

Depends on the level of stability required, the average gamer's box, well 24 hours is plenty. Stability is a relative term. If I was doing a 24 hour prime on one of my boxes, and it failed after 25 hours or something, I'd still tone down the overclock.

Testing stability of RAM - Prime95 fails, memtest86+ not ...

Testing with memtest gives me no errors when left for about 9 passes, however prime95 crashes just after being run. I’m wondering if that could be because CPU temps, they stay around 85C and throttle from 3.7GHz to around 3.6GHz (Ryzen 2200g) however trying to undervolt the CPU (-0.1V) gave me around 70C and another fail from Prime95 but I ...

Also it showed a worker thread failed but I did other tests which showed no problems like 5 hours of Prime95 (version 26.6) blend test, 7 hours Memtest 7.4, 1 hour GSAT, 2 hours Prime 95 (version 29.2) blend test, 1 hour OCCT, Intel Burn Test on Very Hard settings. I have since reset Bios settings back to default to remove the CPU overclock.

Here's a faster alternative to prime95 I learned from overclock.net: Open Prime95, select custom. If you have 4GB RAM, then use the standard 1600MB test. If you have 8GB RAM, then type in 6000MB instead. And use 2 minutes per FFT instead of 15 minutes. This way you'll find out in a couple of hours if you are looking good.

In my opinion prime95 needs to be run for a bare minimum of 6 hours. 12-24 hours is preferable. I think a lot of people here will confirm that they have had overclocks fail later in the test (around the 12, 15, or 20 hour marks). It's entirely up to you to decide what is stable enough for you.

Asus A8V + 1Gb TWINX 3200XL Fail Prime95 After Many Hours ...

    https://forum.corsair.com/forums/topic/9478-asus-a8v-1gb-twinx-3200xl-fail-prime95-after-many-hours/
System is running at stock speeds and is stable except that it fails Prime95 (v23.8) after 8-15 hours. For awhile I thought it was due to setting 1T command rate but last night it failed after 8h 53m with memory at *default* settings: 2-3-2-5 and 2T command rate 'auto' (sets to 2T). Memory voltage is set to 2.8V (same result at 2.7V).
