Oct 30, 2012 · I have users who are trying to use the delayed send feature of Outlook 2010. We have the delay period set to 10 minutes. The problem is that the messages are not sent after 10 minutes and in fact are not sent at all until a manual send (F9) is executed.

When you enable the Do not deliver before option to defer the delivery of a message, the message is deferred to the local Outbox, not to the server. Therefore, the message will not be delivered from the local .ost file unless Outlook is running when the message is scheduled to be delivered.
