Sounds like metal rubbing together, possibly the spring. Another problem is the foot rest is still lower than seat when fully raised so your legs are not raised high enough to relieve swelling. To top it off for discomfort the foot rest has very little padding making it is very hard on the heels. My last Lazy boy was $300, this one $700.

Jan 17, 2010 · So now we're at 10 weeks and Geva finally calls us saying that she's not exactly sure why it's taking so long but that it should be ready any day and that there may have been a problem ordering the fabric. Contacted the furniture shop and they say it is not their problem. Lay-z-boy put a 10 year frame guarantee on the chair but you have to pay them £60 to look at it and then they will decide if they wish to repair it or not.
