It can be slow because FedEx treats it like USPS treats Media Mail, the lowest priority in transporting. So if they are busy it can sit and wait.

I will never order from a company that uses fedex smartpost. From california to arizona 10 days really. Fedex said sept 21 delivery end of day after sitting in phx for 3 days.
