Jul 14, 2005 · The bed and sofa are coming from Room and Board which offers in home delivery and furniture set-up for a flat fee. There may only be one delivery guy, but I'm not sure. Nothing too complicated about the set-up, except that the bed goes on the 2nd floor.

May 15, 2012 · Room Service Tip Dilemma. You bite the bullet and order room service. Mar 01, 2015 · Do you tip for furniture delivery? We're having new couches delivered today and I'm curious if I should tip the delivery guys (or gals). They won't be bringing it up a long driveway or in bitter cold temps or up any stairs but I'm wondering if it's customary to tip them regardless.

This is not the same as a "Room Service Fee", which is NOT the same as a tip. Generally a "service fee" will be a percentage of the total, normally around 15-20%, whereas the "Room Service Fee" (sometimes referred to as a plate fee, a tray fee, delivery fee or something similar) is normally a fixed fee in the $3-6 range.

Should I tip for grocery delivery? Grocery delivery is a relatively new thing, so the proper tipping etiquette hasn’t been totally defined yet. That being said, a 10% tip or a couple of dollars is a good rule of thumb for the store employee who shopped for and brought groceries to your car or the dude from TaskRabbit who delivered milk and your fave cereal to your doorstep.
