They were all set to the default contact PLESK asks for, which is an e-mail address outside the server. I figured setting this to a local address might stop these bounce e-mails from going to GoDaddy's SMTP relay ...

problem this morning with local deliveries just sitting in the queue. Looks like todo is getting backed up and local delivery process just seem to disappear. Qmail-qstat showed about 4500 messages in queue and around 2500 not yet preprocessed. We closed all incoming SMTP connection and qmail burned through the "not yet preprocessed"
