The Arctic Valley gate is open 6am-10pm. The Ski Hill and Tube Park are open on weekends only. Tube Park hours: Saturday 10:30am – 5:00pm; Sunday 10:30am – 5:00pm; Ski Hours: Saturday 10:30am – 3:30pm; Sunday 10:30am – 3:30pm; Operating hours change slightly depending on the time of year. Last lift closes 1 hour prior to civil twilight.

Arctic Valley is open Saturdays and Sundays until March, when we add Thursday and Friday operations. The lodge opens one hour before the first lift, and the Afterglow Bar and lodge close one hour after the last lift closes (see schedule below). Tube Park. Thursday through Sunday: Sessions at 11:30 pm (Sat & Sun only), 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm, and 6:30 pm.

Arctic Valley is closed to uphill travel within ski area boundaries. The trail up the saddle to Tequila Bowl and Mt Gordon-Lyon is always open. Hours for skiing are 10:30-3:30. See our schedule for details on regular operating hours.

The most popular area is the north side of Toklat Creek, where several good runs exist on the south-facing slopes of Mt Gordon-Lyon. Arctic Valley maintains a groomed trail up the valley from the top of the tube park to the top of Toklat Creek. Everything to the south of this trail is part of the ski area, and uphill travel is not allowed.

Getting to Arctic Valley. Arctic Valley is located just outside Anchorage, near JBER and Eagle River. We’re just 17 miles from downtown Anchorage, and 15 miles from downtown Eagle River. We do recommend folks have AWD/4WD vehicles, or at least front wheel drive with studs, to drive Arctic Valley Road.
