Hours of Operation: Arctic Valley is open Saturdays and Sundays until March, when we add Thursday and Friday operations. The lodge opens one hour before the first lift, and the Afterglow Bar and lodge close one hour after the last lift closes (see schedule below).

The Arctic Valley I believe has one of the most priceless 360 views of the Anchorage area, the Valley, and the South Fork all the way to Symphony Lake. Following the Arctic Valley Road to the end leads you to the Arctic Valley Ski Area. In the winter take some time to check out their slopes.

Getting to Arctic Valley. Arctic Valley is located just outside Anchorage, near JBER and Eagle River. We’re just 17 miles from downtown Anchorage, and 15 miles from downtown Eagle River. We do recommend folks have AWD/4WD vehicles, or at least front wheel drive with studs, to drive Arctic Valley Road.
