Sep 07, 2017 · In the opening talk of this session, Jasi Atwal (Genentech) will present on bispecific antibodies to increase antibody delivery across the BBB into the brain. One arm of the bispecific binds to a receptor enriched at the BBB, such as transferrin receptor or CD98 heavy chain. The other arm of the bispecific binds to the brain target of interest.

Jul 04, 2018 · The phage display technique can produce expressed antibody motifs, which are often Fab or single-chain variable fragments (scFv) . The pool of the antibody phages creates an antibody library, which is used in the selection process or ‘panning’ step to screen the antibody candidates based on the binding property to target molecules.Author: Sahar Awwad, Ukrit Angkawinitwong

These results are suggestive of the potential of RMT in enhancing therapeutic antibody delivery to the brain to reducing Aβ plaque burden in AD. The potential for antibody efflux in the brain to blood direction must also be taken into consideration when developing antibody-based diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for CNS cancers.Author: Ann-Marie Chacko, Chunsheng Li, Daniel A.
