You could take them together, but I'd suggest staggering to provide better coverage. i.e., 800 mg. ibuprofen now, then 1000 mg. acetaminophen in 4 hours and keep alternating every 4 hours. Drink LOTS of water while doing this. Acetaminophen is liver toxic, and ibuprofen can damage the kidneys.
