Children don't "usually" eat every 2 hours until 6 months old. That is cray cray. I BF my DD every 3 hours during the day (earlier if she asks for it, but she usually doesn't) and strictly on demand at night. She usually wakes 1-3 times at night. She is a healthy 12lb 3oz.

Totally normal. My son is 3 months old today and he eats every 1.5-2 hours during the day and only goes longer in between feedings during the night. Watch out for the 3 month growth spurt, it's a doozy!! Don't listen to what anyone tells you. He's right on track. It will even out when he's ready not when someone else thinks he should.

JohnthL82. Apr 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM. My LO is 6 months yesterday but was 5 weeks early. She is still feeding every 2 hours between 4 and 4.5 ounces. The amount of ounces hasn't increased since early February maybe. We have tried to get her to take more but its a struggle to get that amount in before the bottle expires in 1 hour.

My daughter is breastfed, but she is six months and still eats every two hours too, I don't know about how much formula is okay for a baby, but it seems like most six month olds drink more in one sitting than just 5 oz, so maybe your son likes to eat small meals really often. Add Friend Ignore.

My son ate every hour and a half to 2 hours until he was about 7 months old, then he was every 2-3 hours until he was a year. I breast fed, so I'm not sure how much he ate each time, but when I supplemented with pumped milk or formula before he went to bed, he drank about 2 oz. I also asked my dr. at every appt, and he said some babies just eat ...
