Aug 04, 2010 · Yeah, he is rude. There is always so rude people in every food delivery place you order food from. Ever since I moved in new area, I almost always get some kind of jerks when I order pizza and Chinese food. So I stop expect them to be polite. I usually prepare exact change, and exact 15% tip. If the delivery guy was so rude, I wouldn't offer tip.

Jun 26, 2009 · I use the 20% rule and adjust it for delivery charges and service. For example, if the food cost is $30, 15% is $6.00. If there is a $3.00 delivery charge, I subtract that from the tip amount, and base the tip on $3.00 If the delivery is prompt and the delivery person is professional, I will round the tip up, and maybe even toss in another dollar.
