It's not terrible, but should be way more considering the size of the firm and the constant pressure about billable hours. And don't get me started on the year end "bonuses". Literally, chump change compared to other firms, yet Wilson Elser wants you to be grateful. Also, high turnover.

Wilson Elser is great for a young attorney as it provides Free Cles, training opportunists and ability to go to court and depose parties within 6 months. Cons 2100 billable hours for 62-80k is a joke.

2100 hour year minimums on a 99k salary. That means to do the bare minimum (i.e. no bonus) one has to BILL over 40 hours a week (but more like in the office for 50-60 hours a week), with NO vacation or PTO days. There is NO work life balance and you can't even pay off your student loans. Pros.

The Dallas office is not as diverse as it could be. Mistreatment and disrespect to employees is a huge problem.

Unfortunately, Wilson Elser provided me with very little training. I had no experience with the Appellate court and had to do filings with very little guidance. The hardest part of my job was dealing with management that was not supportive. We had an office manager …
