Oh my god, stay out of that Magic Johnson TGI Fridays!!! go to the Wing Stop and get some lemon pepper wings instead....if you got EIGHT hours, i think you can manage your time wisely and make it back to the airport from venice/santa monica...you can hit up the bars on Abbot Kinney at night after a day at the beach/santa monica pier =]

There are tours that pick up at your airport hotel (peruse the Starline Tours website) or you can hop a taxi or quick bus ride into Marina del Rey and catch Starline's Hop on Hop Off bus tour. With only 8 hours to spare you might be better off with a scheduled tour.

Hi . Don't want to put a dampener on your planned excursions but as ex airline check-in staff/ticket sales ( at Heathrow though ) I have seen too many people doing the same thing in London only for it going terribly wrong. LA has awful rush hour traffic and you do not want to be too far away in case things go wrong and trust me , when you don't need it to go wrong the most ludicrous things happen.
