Save. You really have from about noon to about 5PM. I would head to Santa Monica and Venice. There is a flyaway bus from LAX that takes you to downtown Santa Monica. That's if you have six hours to spend, as opposed to six hours between flights. Otherwise, a taxi to MB sounds like a good option. If you go to a nice restaurant, maybe they'd hold your bags for an hour or two while you walk around. I'm always surprised by what people will do for you if you ask.

1. Re: What to Do During Six Hour LAX Layover. Okay, if you want to be back at the airport at, say, 7:15, then you'll have to head back from Santa Monica or Hollywood around 6:15. Taking a taxi is the easiest solution so you don't need to fuss with transferring between the car rental lots and the airport.
