Waterford beach really should be part of Rhode Island as this gem more closely resembles the Rhode Island coastline than that in most of Connecticut. Waterford's proximity to the open Atlantic without the cover of Long Island sound makes for a different look and feel than everything to the west in Ct. The sand is beautiful, soft, and clean.
