However, Recorded delivery only provides proof of postage - not proof of receiving it - because no one needs to sign for the item. Hello, recorded will be signed for, but it's standard first or second class mail, so not faster, nor guaranteed by a certain time, and with less insurance cover. I'd probably go for special delivery, either the 9am guaranteed delivery or 1pm guaranteed delivery service.

Nov 28, 2011 · Given that 1st class recorded insures you for £46 wholesale value - they won't pay retail value, sending special is only really worth it for parcels over £100 - even then probably not if you factor in how many get lost - or when the customer needs it the next day in which case they should pay the extra.
