You can wash your hair 2 seconds after giving birth if you wanted to. Washing hair will not effect anything in any kind of way. Mrs Wong emphasised that we should pay more attention to basic personal hygiene — especially if mothers were to breastfeed — and also to prevent infection of any stitches we would have had due to delivery.

Jun 08, 2008 · Go wash your beautiful hair. There is nothing worse after a long hard labor and then a c-section to sit around feeling really gross because you got bad advice. The only thing that might stop you doing this is if you dr told you not to bathe.

I HAD to wash after giving birth all 4 times. I have never heard that either lol! Soaking in the bath tub was actually advised me t as well. Theres nothing like bringing a child into this world and feeling like you just went through a hailstorm, then being able to refresh yourself, put on some comfortable jammies and snuggle your little bundle of joy:)

Can’t wash your hair for 6 weeks? by Asiafromnewyork. I just heard that after giving birth you can’t wash your hair for 6 weeks because your pores are open? Since when? I never heard of this before and i don’t remember what i did when i was pregnant with my first. Have any of you heard of this? 76 Comments Last updated 10 months ago

Nothing, it is Natures way of helping to keep the scalp from getting too dry. Once you start washing and all, you will wish you're baby still had the oily hair. Once the scalp starts peeling, you will be putting olive oil on it anyway to keep it moist. Dont worry about the oily hair, its a good thing

Dont wash your hair for 6 weeks. Yes, someone told me this today. They said not to wash your hair for 6 weeks after you have your baby because your pores are "still open". I have no idea what that means but I'm going to stop listening to people.
