Thunder Ridge had a deal: lift ticket, 1.15 hr lesson and skis,boots and helmet rental. Keep in mind this was also a holiday so the cost was $240. Due to rain the day prior we were worried that it would be closed for our long awaited ski day, but the website kept the conditions up to date and we were excited with late night snow machines made sure they would be open 10-5.

The train from Grand Central takes you to Patterson (with a transfer at south east) and then they will pick you up in their shuttle bus. You get discounted rentals and lift pass if you are on the MTA package.
