I went to the Telstra Tower really because I felt it was a bit part of Canberra's evolution from earlier days. The Telstra Tower was established really to enhance the telecommunication capabilities of Canberra, as a plus I got to see a view of Canberra at a slightly more elevated view than any of the city's other (but free) lookouts: Redhilll and Mt Ainslie.
