"Options -> Delivery Status Notification" when composing a message seems having no result. Is this problem due to sender and/or recipient provider's servers (Gmail) or is this feature not yet implemented in the current alpha of Thunderbird? I also noticed that in Sent folder the messages sent with a Delivery Status Notification has no "Return-Receipt-To: " header, quite strange.

Jan 14, 2014 · Last month I tried to send an email to a friend from my hotmail account. I received a Delivery Status Notification (Failure) reply from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Since then, I have received constant Failure replies - sometimes up to 40 per day.

Thunderbird does not even send the email with message header 'Return-Receipt-To'. In fact when I compare the message header of 2 exact test email, one with DSN set and other not, both headers are exactly the same. Meaning setting 'Options\Delivery Status Notification' doesn't seem to do *anything* in Thunderbird. BR //Edo
