This might take over an hour to complete. I've cold booted it and got ahold of a windows recovery disc for windows 7 64-bit. I checked the memory, found that I have no system recovery image to restore to, and no more system restore points. The memory checks fine. It's just been in this startup repair screen for hours and hours and days.

24 hours seems too much. I will recommend you reboot your computer system. Rebooting might result in some data loss, but waiting like this would surely not help you. most of the time the situation does not gets worse. just make sure you are not using system restore at the time of rebooting.
