The owner's son, Steve Daggett is a total jerk, bilking bands out of money they rightly earned. My wife and I drove 21/2 hours to Long Island for the show and the show itself was great! The food was utter garbage. Very unhappy with this place. Try Paddy's nearby. Much better venue and atmosphere. The lights are out at Sandy's Lighthouse forever.

Sandy Hook Lighthouse. From April to October, weekday tours are given by National Park Service Rangers from 1 PM to 4:30 PM. Sandy Hook Lighthouse Tours are first-come, first-served. Visitors must be at least 48 inches tall to climb the tower. Groups need reservations in advance for a Lighthouse tour.

The lighthouse is open to the public weekends May 1 - Oct 31, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 1 - April 30, 1 to 3:30 p.m. Park Rangers lead the tours. Tours are first come, first serve and can only be scheduled in person at the Visitor's Center. The lighthouse is on the grounds of Fort Hancock and is just one of the unbeatable tourist attractions at Sandy Hook.

Still, the reef posed a threat to vessels, and the Honey, a 140-ton ship, was soon purchased in New York, recommissioned as a lightship, and sent to Florida to mark Sand Key. Congress acted quickly as well, allocating $20,000 on March 3, 1847 for a new Sand Key Lighthouse and then adding an additional sum of $39,970.74 to the project in 1848.
