1 January 2008 at 9:23PM. Yes they can refuse your request but..... They have to consider the request. Thanks to family friendly legislation that is in force - and has been for some years. That is to say that they need to consider the proposal put to them, rather than simply say "It's a 40 hour a week post and that's that".
