We present a partition-controlled delivery (PCD) method that maintains the concentrations of chemicals in test solutions at or below solubility limits for extended exposure times. Concentrations are maintained by equilibrium partitioning of test chemicals from a series of poly(dimethylsiloxane) films loaded with a range of concentrations of each chemical.Author: Yiannis Kiparissis, Parveen Akhtar, Peter V. Nov 11, 2010 · This project is the first to describe the chronic toxicity of a series of alkyl‐phenanthrenes to the embryos of Japanese medaka (Oryzias latipes) using the partition‐controlled delivery (PCD) method of exposure and is the first to establish a relationship between toxicity of alkyl‐phenanthrenes and log P. With PCD, test concentrations ...Author: Dominique Turcotte, Parveen Akhtar, Michelle Bowerman, Yiannis Kiparissis, R. Stephen Brown, Peter V...

To prevent a vandal from dispensing excessive amounts of paper (and to promote conservation of supplies), this dispenser limits the spindle to ¾ of a revolution. For a similar dispenser, without controlled delivery, see the Bobrick Single Roll Toilet Tissue Dispenser B-2730.

The basic rationale of a controlled release drug delivery system is to optimize the biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics properties of a drug in such a way that its utility is maximized through reduction in side effects and cure or control of disease condition in the shortest possible time by using smallest quantity of drug, administered by most suitable route.Author: M Gahlyan, S Jain
