    In other words, work straight through an 8 hr workday, with whatever breaks, and then leave for the day. Labor law says that you must take, and the employer must allow, a half-hour lunch break for every 6 hrs worked. If management and union have an agreement that you can do a "no lunch", then it can be permitted. Nobody loses anything.
