From my experience the usual hours nurses work are: 4-hour shifts; 8-hour shifts; 10-hour shifts; 12-hour shifts; 16-hour shifts; The more common shifts are probably the 8 and 12-hour shifts. Many places don’t allow you to work 16-hour shifts so you might not see too many of that.
