The Souq is open everyday from 9am till 1pm then again from 4pm to 9pm. In the morning certain shops don't open till 10 and in the afternoon some till 430 so go after that to be safe. It's not seasonal, but on Fridays it doesn't open in the morning.

The Matrah "Dark Market" Souq is an area of open walkways. The "Dark" comes from the overhead roof that was put above the corridors to give shade and a cooling effect. The corridors are open from sunrise to the quiet hours of hte night. However each and every shop inside operates with their own hours. Typically they will close for a long siesta (~1p until 4pm).

Mutrah Souq. Many people come to Mutrah Corniche just to visit the souq, which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing.
