Save. The Souq is open everyday from 9am till 1pm then again from 4pm to 9pm. In the morning certain shops don't open till 10 and in the afternoon some till 430 so go after that to be safe. It's not seasonal, but on Fridays it doesn't open in the morning.

Mutrah Souq. Many people come to Mutrah Corniche just to visit the souq, which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing. The Muttrah Souq is the traditional old city souq in Muscat. To be honest, it’s much like any other old souq in the middle east. There are a few slight differences, and it’s worth visiting, but a large proportion of the wares for sale will match those in the souqs of Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Bahrain.
