It certainly seems that way to me. A lot of the independent stores that made 17th more than just a bar/restaurant destination have moved out due to the rental increases. No more Mission Snow and Skate, Megatunes, Blue Light Special, Devine, etc. I think it was a lot of the independent retailers that added to the vibrancy of 17th.
