Feb 28, 2009 · don't mess with the kittens, some moms are very protective, you may be doing the kitten more harm than good. the mother will do everything her kittens need. cats are domesticated but not helpless. if the kitten moves around ok and stays near the mom it will be fine. it took my cat a day and a half to have 5 kittens. just give her time. check on her every so often but don't hover.
