This is in no way close to the original. I feel it wasn't a fair remake and should never be picked up first. Really, if you're going to watch Kiki's delivery service for the first time, NEVER PICK THIS ONE FIRST! Live action remakes are successful when they take you back to the previous work. And this one failed miserably at doing that.

Mar 01, 2014 · Like many others, when I first heard about the live action adaptation of Kiki's Delivery Service I was intrigued as to how it would compare (maybe unfairly so) to the beloved Miyazaki masterpiece. Would it capture that same magic or would it take a different tack? Perhaps it would be more aligned to the source book than Miyazaki's adaptation?5.7/10
