My HCG levels quadrupled in 48 hours. That seems fast. I was hoping some mamas of multiples can share their HCG numbers. My numbers are not high due to them being drawn on 11DPO and 13 DPO but rising fast.

Aug 16, 2011 at 7:32 AM. I had my hCG levels tested last Weds and Fri, exactly 48 hours apart. On Weds (at 4w1d), it was 84. On Fri (4w3d), it was 266. That's MORE than trippling. The nurse who called me with the results didn't give any indication to be concerned- she said the pregnancy is progressing very well.

HCG levels quadrupled in three days? ... It could be a sign of twins, but not necessarily. I had HCG levels that more than tripled in 48 hours and I also had bleeding and an u/s where all they saw was a gestational sac right around 6 weeks. I am now almost 20 weeks pregnant with 1 little boy.

I know exactly how you feel. My first HCG level was 205. Forty-eight hours later, it was 1123 (generally, HCG levels double every 48-72 hours in early pregnancy, so this is really high). I talked to my Dr and she said to come in for an ultrasound next week to rule out multiples. Might want to look into this. Good luck.

this multiple talk is scary. My 4 week beta went from 35 to 135 in 48 hours.... TTC #3 with PCOS. Long cycles, ovulate about 4-5 times a year Married 6/9/07 DS 7/15/08 Met RE 12/08 DD 6/2/10. Your HCG levels are not "abnormal" or crazy high. HCG levels can very a lot.

In normal development HCG blood concentration will at least double every 48 hours, though it is common for levels to quadruple. For example, during my first full term pregnancy, my level was taken 11 days past conception and was found to be 11 miu/ml. When it was taken 48 hours later, it rose to 55miu/ml. With my second full term, my level 12 days past conception was 964 miu/ml.

Tripling is great and totally normal in early pregnancy. Mine went from 39.9 to 141.5 in 48 hours, then in 7 days up to 2,424! So you're right on track!
