Mar 18, 2007 · Always tip at least 3 dollars if the driver uses his/her own vehicle. He/she has to pay for gas, tires, oil changes, & all vehicle maintenence. The car itself that cost at least 10k and will have 200k miles on it after 5yrs . of pizza delivering. If it's a company vehicle being used then it really doesnt matter how much you tip.

Jun 26, 2009 · I use the 20% rule and adjust it for delivery charges and service. For example, if the food cost is $30, 15% is $6.00. If there is a $3.00 delivery charge, I subtract that from the tip amount, and base the tip on $3.00 If the delivery is prompt and the delivery person is professional, I will round the tip up, and maybe even toss in another dollar.

Jul 29, 2008 · Now i have NO IDEA what the etiquette is for pizza delivery guys, are you meant to tip them, or is their 'tip' already worked into the price of the transportation. I ask because 14 quid is already lot, but if i'm expected to pay 14 quid and then give the guy another 2 quid, then sod it. After all i can buy a blu-ray movie disc for 16 quid.

I am a pizza deliver driver and I hate delivery fees more than anyone because they kill my tips. People assume the driver keeps the fee. I make the same amount now as I did before they implemented the fee.
