FRIM, home to approximately 182 out of 742 bird species in Malaysia, was declared a Natural Heritage Site on 10 February 2009 under the National Heritage Act 2005. Opening hours FRIM is open daily, including public holidays, from 6.00 am – 7.00 pm (but is closed for one hour in the morning from 7.30am – 8.30 am on Monday to Friday) for jogging, cycling and mountain biking.

Operating Hours and Fees. The operating hours of the park is from 8:00am to 6:00pm daily. However, take note that the canopy walkway operating hours is from 9:30am to 2:30pm. According to FRIM’s official post on the opening, the new ‘Forest Skywalk’ will be open to visitors from 31st August 2020 onwards, between the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm daily. Only 150 people will be allowed to trek the length of this spectacular new addition a day due to current Covid-19 restrictions, with 10 people being allowed to share the skywalk per session.
