Rating 4 out of 5. It's a great place to work, but only if you're motivated to truly work and help others. The work is meaningful. The campus and food are excellent. The company does what they feel is the right thing to do, even if it costs money. Overall, this is …

The onsite lasts 4-5 hours including a tour of the campus. It involves 2 technical interviews and 1 HR interview. The first technical interview involves a hypothetical problem and discussion about how the candidate would approach and solve it, and the second one involves explaining one project that the candidate has worked on.

Epic doesn’t have a culture to overwork its employees, at least not in the teams I’ve been to. But I know developers who work 60–70 hours a week. They need to work long hours because they underestimate the amount of work during project planning phase and make …

Culture of overwork and unreasonable expectations. You get paid well for entry level, but it comes at a price. Long hours, unsupportive management, negative culture drive high turnover rates and employee unhappiness. Epic has shown they have little interest in making the company a better place to work.

Epic Systems in Verona was maybe once an innovative and inspiring place to work. Currently, it's an aging corporate behemoth attempting to keep a hip veneer. Management does not trust employees, which influences both what work is done and how/where it is accomplished. Most teams work with an outdated technology stack.

Need an honest opinion here. From reading online and asking people, Epic has a really bad reputation of having a terrible work/life balance. For a software developer new grad, how many hours are you working each week? 45-50 already seems like a lot.... Reddit Inc © 2021 . All rights reserved.

According the time logging system, I averaged 54.83 hours per week across my 8.5 year tenure at Epic in roles in implementation and product management. So, yes, most people at Epic work hard. If you only want to work 40 hours per week, this is likely not the role for you.

Six months wouldn't really work out - they spend a lot of time and energy on training new employees and six months is about when they start giving you actual responsibility. From a purely Machiavellian standpoint it would work for the money. If you want Epic to stand out on your resume (and it …

52 reviews of Epic "This is just a review of Voyager Hall and their training. Wow, I couldn't believe how impressive Epic's campus is. Granted, it seems to be in the middle of nowhere (remember I have been in LA for 10 years now) but they have put a lot of thought into making it the best possible. Love the fact that its the Intergalactic Headquarters.
