In winter and summer all mail is exposed to the outside temperatures much of the time. Containerized mail sits on loading docks waiting for transport, where there isn't air conditioning and not much heat. Trucks are just plain boxes.

Aug 12, 2016 · A guitar in a well packed package should be OK in a normal range of temperatures found in warehouses and trucks. Just give it time to acclimate when it arrives. You could also have your package delivered to a UPS Store or other delivery point. There is will most likely be in a temperature controlled environment.

They hand those specs & designs to Ford, Dodge, Chevy, whoever, and they have to build to those specs. But I think the manufacturer uses their own engines/trans in them. So it could be any engine, I think.
