The short answer is…. Not the driver. Do not assume that is some kind of built in tip. Most places give a per delivery fee to the driver. Maybe 50 cents to 1 dollar. The delivery charge helps cover this, insurance on the drivers, driver payroll, etc.

Sep 01, 2008 · Best Answer: As a former pizza delivery driver I can tell you that in most cases the driver does not get the delivery charge. The charge is for the store to offset the cost of employing delivery drivers. When I worked at Papa John's we had about about 10 drivers working at any given time on the weekend.
