Jan 01, 2009 · The maternity clothes are loose and comfy and easy to lift up to nurse. If I go out somewhere, I do have a few things that I've bought that fit. I think its fine to wear them after the baby is born. You'll be spit up on and pooped on and cried on and who needs to buy new clothes just for all that.

And Congrats to all of you! :-) I am struggling with what clothes to pack for my hospital bag, and trying to picture what I'll be wearing while in recovery. I know you will wear the hospital gown for a while after birth, then likely take a shower, then maybe put some comfortable PJs on?

You’re pretty much still wearing a diaper when you leave the hospital, so sweet little undies that bare ass cheeks may not be the best thing to pack.
