As O2 don't provide delivery report functionality like other networks it's a required workaround unless your phone will do it for you. I had an HTC One which had a setting that forced a delivery report and my Sony Z5 will show a tick when the text is delivered but on others it doesn't work without the hack.

Please do a search the iphone and o2 as standard has no support but there is a 3 digit code to start the message with leaving 157 caracters for the txt.

I love delivery reports, but there seems to be no way to get these on iphone, am I right? if so I am sure I will eventually get used to not having this feature, after all I lived without it in the 'old days' :)
