Concerta only lasting 4 to 5 hours? I was prescribed concerta 18mg and it only lasted 3 to 4 hours. The doc currently has me on 27mg and after 4 to 5 hours I feel extremely tired and it is not working anymore. My sleep is good, appetite is fine, drink lots of water. If you get up late in the morning, then take it with or after breakfast or with an empty stomach. i would suggest take it with a full glass of water but some people in here like to take it with their coffee. Whatever works for you. I take 36mg brand name Concerta at 7am and it only lasts 5 hours for me.
