Another thing you can do is to fill a bigger bowl/pan with water at room temperature, and soak chicken within the plastic seal in that bowl. May 07, 2014 · The temperature outside last night was around 48F, and I don’t think I had my heat on. My plan was to throw the chicken in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours or so, if that matters at all. I hate to waste food, but if it will make me sick, I’ll throw it out. Any thoughts?
