Cahoon Hollow is a beautiful beach with a fantastic view of the dunes and ocean. We saw lots of seals swimming close to shore and while there were no shark warnings, we avoided going in past our knees. The walk down from the parking lot is steep and more importantly, the walk up is challenging, so plan accordingly.

The beach is absolutely stunning, but be prepared to climb down and up the sandy slope, but so worth it. The Beachcomber Restaurant is terrific and offers take out or eat in choices. Parking is limited ($30) , so get there early, although parking opens at 9am. The beach closes to swimming if sharks are seen in the water.
