Cahoon Hollow is a beautiful beach with a fantastic view of the dunes and ocean. We saw lots of seals swimming close to shore and while there were no shark warnings, we avoided going in past our knees. The walk down from the parking lot is steep and more importantly, the walk up is challenging, so plan accordingly.

Cahoon Hollow Beach is a somewhat secluded beach at the Cape Cod National Seashore. Parking is somewhat limited and there are limited facilities here. "In Season" plan ahead. "Off Season" you may have the beach almost to yourself. This attraction appears unspoiled and offers the full beauty of the seashore.

What a great place! This sits at the top of Cahoon Hollow Beach and is very popular with couples and a younger crowd. (That may have to do with the brutal 75 foot sand dune that you have to climb down to get to the beach, which deters families.) They open at 11:30 and usually there is a long line waiting to get in by 11:15.
