May 04, 2010 · I no longer work for this company and simply deleted the email account from Outlook (2003). Even though that account is no longer in Outlook, it appears to be searching for the exchange server connection and still shows the "offline" icon on the lower left of my screen. This in turn is slowing down my SMTP outbound mail.

Apr 23, 2009 · We are using Exchange with SBS server 2003. We have been pulling mail from a POP account but it is taking the mail from the server. I deleted all the bridges to the Pop and have set up another email account on everyone's computer as a POP account leaving the messages on our outside mail server.
