Dec 05, 2016 · You can actually order from Amazon and trick them into send packages via USPS and not UPS or FedEX. Instead of shipping it to "General Delivery", ship it to "PO Box General Delivery." The "PO Box" designation tells Amazon that they must ship it USPS. I ordered about 5+ packages this year while thru-hiking the CDT+PNT and received them all.

May 29, 2019 · Modern retailers like Amazon will auto-reject General Delivery as an invalid address if you try to ship to that type of address using anything but USPS. Many online retailers have a “no PO box” rule for almost anything shipped that’s over 2 pounds, but do list USPS as a shipping option.
