Plenty of bathrooms, no showers. Quiet at night and felt very safe. Wind can get powerful and can get very cold at night. Each campsite has a large covered picnic table, fire ring, room for 2 vehicles and a great view!

Aguirre Springs is probably the closest that you can get to the base of the Organ Mountains. It's unbelievable once you're standing down there looking straight up at the mountain. 1. Site Number: 33. Overall Rating. We’ve driven through Aguirre Spring campground before, this was our first overnighter. The views are spectacular, and the whole area is beautiful. The upper loop (“A”) may have somewhat more expansive views, but the lower loop (“B”) is definitely quieter. Sites 17 & 18 may have the widest views of all.

Answered on 3/5/2021: They do lock the entrance gate, you can leave after hours but I believe there are spikes to stop you from entering through the exit. It is a fantastic camp spot the hikes are world-class and not to be missed. Definitely worth making the effort to get there before the gates are locked.
